The Buckled Shoe of Rock:
Paul Revere & The Raiders vs. The Upper Crust
"...The logical reaction to the George Washington vibe of the Raiders would be a rock group taking the guise of British nobility circa 1776. Surprisingly, this act would not come until 1995, but (in another ironic twist) it would originate in the city best known for being ground zero for the American Revolution -- Boston, Mass..."
"From hipster peasants to the refined raucousness of the Upper Crust, we were off to see the East Coast's white-wigged wonders and their high-falutin' (f)rock at Spaceland. With local power-poppers Peachfuzz providing a succulent appetizer, the Crust's aristocrazy feast didn't disappoint. Their knickers are still on fire and the AC/DC-style "rocque" still earns curtsies..."
Highfalutin' makes Spin's December "Songs you need to to download" list
"Bewigged brilliance from rock's reigning novelty act boasts a soaring riff Angus Young wishes he could still write. Off the "hits" collection Cream of the Crust."
"Once More into the Breeches" makes Justin Hawkins' top ten list
"The Upper Crust sound like Bon Scott-era AC/DC and dress in wigs, fancy trousers and frilly shirts. They're from Boston and they really are the nearest thing to AC/DC with Bon. The guitar solo on this is amazing."

Eureka - I found Rocque!
The Upper Crust are proud to lend one of their finest compositions "Eureka, I Found Love" to the new Playstation II game Guitar Hero... easily the best song on the game soundtrack. WARNING: by virtue of its genius, it is also the most difficult to play, but ultimately the most rewarding.
